Women's Basketball Posts 2nd Straight Win

In a game that featured a wild finish, the Palm Beach State Women's Basketball Team posted their 2nd consecutive victory over Miami Prep 59-58.

PBSC trailed at the half, but kicked it into gear in the 2nd half, outscoring Miami Prep 37-22 to force an overtime. Kyandra Poitier put the Panthers up 59-57 in OT when she was fouled and made both of her free throw attempts. Miami Prep was subsequently fouled on the next possession and only made one of their two free throws, giving the Panthers the ball back with the lead. Poitier received the inbound pass and ran out the remaining seconds to seal the victory.

Andrea Torres and Kyandra Poitier led the team offensively with 19 and 18 points, respectively. Rayna Duzant and Jaylen ponder each had 9 points apiece.

The Panthers totaled 49 rebounds, including Rayna Duzant's 14, which led the club and was a career high for the Freshman Guard/Forward.

The Panthers travel to Indian River next Wednesday in a rematch of the team's 1st win of season. The game will start promptly at 3:30PM EST.
