Panthers Explode for 112 Points

Palm Beach State Women's Basketball needed a win in a big way and they certainly earned one in a dominating offensive performance over Miami Prep.

This 112 points Palm Beach scored on Saturday is the most the team has scored since the 2019-2020 season when the Panthers scored 95 against ASA College (Miami).

In what was a tale of two halves, the Panthers dominated the 3rd and 4th quarters outscoring opposing Miami Prep 65-25. Andrea Torres alone outscored Miami Prep in the 2nd half 26-25.

Speaking of Torres, Andrea Torres had an afternoon to remember as she scored a career-high 51(!) points. She shot 22-33 from the field, including 4-8 from beyond the arc.

Jaylen Ponder was quite the statistical darling in this one. Ponder earned a triple-double. She posted 18 points, 12 assists, and 14 rebounds, to go along with 7 steals.

Rayna Duzant finished with 17 total points while Rebecca Scott posted a career-high 12 points. We'd also like to give a shout out to Keyona Miller who also posted a career-high with 9 points.

The Panthers have some time off as their next game is a rematch with Miami Prep next Saturday at 2:00. For now, the Panthers will enjoy a well deserved victory.
