Bio

Tom Spencer was named to Head Coach Tae Norwood's staff in September 2023.  Coach Spencer joins the staff with over 15 years of basketball coaching experience.  Coach Spencer joins the Panther staff after serving as an assistant boys basketball and football coach at Boca Raton High School.

Coach Spencer got started as a coach at Georgia Southern University in 1999.  While on staff for 7 seasons, Coach Spencer helped Georgia Southern to their most successful season in the previous 16 seasons before his arrival.  Gerogia Southern won the Southern Division in the Southern Conference 3 times during his tenure on staff.

Coach Spencer moved on to Scecina Memorial High School (IN) and helped them achieve their best record in eight years.  After moving back to Florida, Coach Spencer helped American Heritage School (Plantation) win numerous tournaments as well as finish the 2011-2012 season ranked #2 in the state of Florida. 

He moved on to Lynn University in May 2013 and helped Lynn finish 21-10 and reach the NCAA Division II Sweet 16 in only his second season on staff.
