Men's Basketball Hosts Special Olympics, Wins 116-62

The Palm Beach State College men's basketball team beat MTB Collegiate Academy 116-62 Saturday, playing in front of the Special Olympics of Palm Beach County. 

At halftime of the game, the Special Olympics of PBC was able to showcase their talents in front of the audience as they played 5-on-5.  It was an experience all the athletes will never forget.

Seven Panthers scored in double figures as they cruised to victory.  Torrin Andrews led the way with 25 points on 8-10 shooting, including going 5-7 from deep.  Ryan Moore (13 points), Shane Allen (12), Terell Edwards (11), Koby Isaac, Eduardo Diaz, and Nadav Naim (10 each) all joined Torrin in scoring double figures.  Ryan Moore added 10 rebounds to give him back-to-back double doubles after going for 12 points and 12 rebounds vs West Lake Prep Thursday night.

As a team, the Panthers had assists on 30 of their 40 made shots.  All 11 players contributed at least 1 assist in finding the open man.  The Panthers shot 62.5% overall from the floor (40-64), while shooting a remarkable 60% from 3 (15-25).

Palm Beach State is home on Wednesday December 14th as they host Indian River at 5:30pm and Saturday December 17th at 5pm when they take on Miami Dade.
