Men's Basketball Earns Split at Veteran's Day Classic

Torrin Andrews scored 29 points and Terell Edwards added 10 points and 14 rebounds as Palm Beach State beat Albany Tech 81-70 on Saturday at the Veteran's Day Classic hosted by Miami Dade College. 

Palm Beach State took a 36-30 lead into halftime and never trailed in the second half.  Torrin Andrews paced the Panthers with 29 points on 7-12 shooting and 7 rebounds.  Eduardo Diaz, Caleb Muller, and Ryan Moore each had 9 points, Koby Isaac added 8 points, and Jaiden Wynn had 7 points and 6 rebounds as the Panthers had a balanced offensive attack.  For the game, the Panthers shot an outstanding 87.1% from the foul line (27-31).

 

The Panthers weren't as lucky on Friday when they took on Daytona State. Daytona State defeated the Panthers 116-81.  Friday's game was the 1st game for the Panthers in a week as Hurricane Nicole forced a cancelation of a game on November 9th.

Three Panthers scored in double digits as Terell Edwards (17 points), Jaiden Wynn (14 points) and Eduardo Diaz (12 points) paced the Panthers.  Palm Beach went 22-25 from the foul line (88%).

 

For the weekend, the Panthers shot 49-56 from the foul line, for an astonishing 87.5%.

 

The Panthers are back home on Friday November 18th at 7pm as they take on Florida Memorial's JV team.
