Men's Basketball Drops Close Game vs Miami Dade

In a close game, the PBSC Men's Basketball team was narrowly defeated by Miami Dade College by a score of 82-79. Despite the loss, several Panthers had strong performances. Emanuel Hylton led all scorers with 24 points.

Along with Hylton's 24 points, three other Panthers had at least 10 points. Tim Holland had his fourth double-double in the last five games, with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Tyrus Johnson scored 12, and Mohamed Fofana scored 10.

Though Palm Beach State trailed by as many as 12 early, the Panthers managed to enter halftime trailing by only three points. The game was close throughout the second half. Miami Dade never led by more than eight, and PBSC had a chance to tie the game on a 3-point shot in the game's final seconds. Both teams shot over 50 percent in the second half.

The Panthers will face Indian River State College on Saturday in a rematch of each team's conference opener. IRSC won the first meeting between the two teams.
