Baseball Holds on in Wild Victory

After scoring 8 in the 2nd, PBSC squeaked out a win over Keiser on Monday afternoon.

Keiser consistently chipped away at the Panther lead, but Palm Beach had the lead from the 2nd inning on and never gave it back.

In an 8-run 2nd inning, PBSC sent 12 men to the plate. Two bases loaded walks put PBSC 2-0 early. PBSC scored 2 runs in back-to-back at bats; Tristan Moore singled home 2 and John Rodriguez doubled home 2. Sean Arnal would homer 2 batters later to cap the scoring and put the Panthers up 8-0.

Sal Grinstead homered to cap the Panthers' scoring on the day with a 2-run home run in the 6th.

With a 3-run lead in the 9th, a leadoff single and a double put runners at 2nd and 3rd. Bryce Pratt was able to induce 2 consecutive groundouts, although runs scored on both to cut the lead to 11-10. Pratt whiffed the final batter he faced with none on to end the game.
