Baseball Wins 7th Straight Backed by Potent Offense
Palm Beach State Baseball once again scored double digits as they take down Keiser 14-5.
Palm Beach took an early lead in the 2nd inning. With the bases loaded, John Rodriguez was hit by a pitch to break the scoreless tie. Next batter, Skyler Schulz, singled to left to score Caden Marsters and Albert Espinosa.
With the lead 4-2 in the 6th, Rodriguez popped a 2-run Home Run to pad the Panther lead. the home Run was Rodriguez's 2nd on the year. Sal Grinstead would triple later in the inning, pushing the score to 8-2.
Already with a sizeable lead, the Palm Beach bats poured it on in the 8th. Five of the first 6 batters reached base. Two walks with the bases loaded gave PBSC two runs. Palm Beach would 6 times in the inning on 5 consecutive plate appearances. John Rodriguez capped the scoring with a triple on the 1st pitch he saw, scoring two, and increasing the lead 14-2.
Palm Beach pitching proved effective on the afternoon as Cody Little held Keiser in check over 6 innings. He allowed 4 hits, 2 runs, and struck out 7. Danny Diaz finished the game in relief.
