Baseball Wins 4th Straight

PBSC Baseball wins their 4th straight as they take down Eastern Florida by a score of 5-2.

In what would be described as a pitchers' duel, the game remained scoreless until the bottom of the 6th. Sean Arnal would start the inning off with a double to set the tone for the rest of the inning. Sal Grinstead bunted and placed it so well that he was able to beat the throw for a single. Arnal would advance to 3rd. Gavin Bogdanchik would single on the very next pitch to score the 1st run of the game. Albert Espinosa would ground into a fielder's choice but the third baseman rushed the throw home and threw wildly allowing Sal Grinstead to score. With runners at 2nd and 3rd, Nick Fusco would be hit by a pitch to load the bases. Brannon Mondragon then plated Bogdanchik and Espinosa on a single putting the Panthers up 4-0.

Eastern Florida would add 2 in the top of the 7th before PBSC came back with one of their own as Sal Grinstead scored on a wild pitch.

Justyn Ros would remain unscathed through the rest of the game as he shut the door in the 8th and 9th, earning his first victory.

Palm Beach starter Michael Fortes once again had a very nice outing. He allowed 2 hits over 5 shutout innings, striking out 6. Fortes has allowed 1 earned run or less inb 2 of his 3 starts to kick off the 2022 season.

Sean Arnal followed a 4-hit game with a 3-hit game, which led the team. Sal Grinstead in his return to the lineup contributed 2 hits and 2 runs.
