Baseball Twirls a Shut Out in 13-0 Victory

Three pitchers combine to shut out Inspiration Academy in 13-0 rout.

Zach Dodson, a 2nd year starting pitcher, was the story for the Panthers on the day. Dodson twirled 6 dazzling innings allowing 3 hits, zero runs, whilst striking out 8. Dodson allowed one runner to reach third, but largely kept the opposition from advancing past 2nd. On 91 pitches, Dodson was able to garner 65 strikes. In relief, Jonathan Amonica took over in the 7th, allowing 1 hit and striking out 3 over two innings of work. Jimmy Wilson finished off the game with a scoreless 9th.

Offensively, the Panthers received contributions up and down the lineup. The bottom half of the order accounted for 4 hits, 5 runs scored, and 5 RBI. cleanup hitter Justin Tew led the team with 2 hits. Tristan Moore had 3 RBI and drew 3 walks. Jarret Bickel finished with 3 RBI to tie Moore for the high water mark on the afternoon.

No Panther had an extra base hit on the day.
