Miami Dade avenges last week's loss against Palm Beach State with 12 point victory

The Miami Dade Sharks edged out the Palm Beach State Panthers 73-61 in a victory Wednesday night. The Sharks move to 6-21 while the Panthers drop to 23-5.

The Sharks were powered in this matchup by Shameir Quimby who scored 38 points on 14-21 shooting. The freshman, who's ranked 4th in the nation in points, would hit three of her five attempts from deep and nail seven free throws. Renae Brant and Genesis Zabaleta Alarcon would each tally 13 points of their own. 

For Palm Beach, they were led by Ashley Thornton who scored 21 and Savannah McAfee who poured in another 11.

The Sharks will look to keep the win streak going as they travel up to Melbourne to take on Eastern Florida State College. The game is slated for Saturday, February 24th at 5:30 PM.
