Panther Athletics Finish With 3.2 GPA
For the second academic year in a row, the Palm Beach State College athletic teams have combined for a GPA over 3.0. For the Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 semesters, the department had a 3.22 overall GPA.
The strong performance in the classroom from the Panther student-athletes matches their performances in their respective sports as all 6 teams finished with a 3.0 GPA or higher. Indoor volleyball got the athletic season started, finishing 4th in the conference and earning a spot in the FCSAA/Region 8 Tournament. They finished the year with a 3.10 GPA.
Women's basketball continued their Region 8 dominance, winning their 3rd straight Region 8 Championship. They followed up that on-court performance with a 3.41 GPA.
Men's basketball finished as Region 8 Runner-up in the FCSAA/Region 8 Tournament, then backed that up with a 3.16 GPA.
Baseball came within 1 game of making the FCSAA/Region 8 Tournament but finished strong in the classroom with a 3.07 team GPA.
Women's golf, who is participating in the NJCAA DI Women's Golf National Championship next week, had a 3.19 GPA.
Beach volleyball, who won their 3rd straight NJCAA Beach Volleyball National Championship, paced the athletic department with a 3.53 GPA.
Overall, 41 student-athletes have earned FCSAA All-Academic Team.
