Panthers Volleyball Complete Weekend Sweep

Panthers Volleyball Complete Weekend Sweep

In a close contest, the Panthers ultimately took all three sets in an impressive win versus a solid Florida State College at Jacksonville squad.

In a match that both teams needed, with FSCJ just behind the Panthers in the standings, Palm Beach had to win to hold off the surging Blue Wave. With the win today, PBSC improves to 10-4 in Sun Lakes Conference play, placing them 4th in the conference. The Panthers are just 0.5 games behind 3rd place Pensacola State College and 1 game behind 2nd place Lake-Sumter. The next two weekends will be pivotal for playoff seeding as conference seeding will likely come down to the final games with 3 teams so close to one another.

Hailey Hart had an outstanding match, which could not have come at a more opportune time. Hart had 14 kills and an impressive .419 kill percentage.

Dena Otte, Nina Vallesi, and Rita Gonzalez Cuevas Campos rounded out the top offense performers. They combined for 24 kills.

Natalie Faulkner received all of the playing time at setter. She finished with 35 assists and 3 service aces.

In what we believe is a season first, Darlenis Medina did not lead the team in DIGS. That honor goes to Madeline Koons who led the club with 14 DIGS. Amy Young was active on the back court trailing Koons by just 4 DIGS. Medina finished with 9.

Palm Beach has a huge weekend coming up next week as they take on #1 and #2 in the state on their home court. St. John's River will come to PBSC on Friday at 6:00 and Lake-Sumter will take on the Panthers this upcoming Saturday at 1:00 PM.
