Volleyball Dominates...Takes Down St. Pete 3-0

Palm Beach barely broke a sweat with an easy 3-0 win over St. Petersburg College.

PBSC finally returned home after two lengthy road trips and hadn't had a game at home in nearly a month.

The Panthers stormed out to a 4-0 lead in set one, proving that they were the superior team from the get go. To their credit, St. Pete came right back, tying things at 4-4. The rest of the set was heavily in Palm Beach's favor.

Set two featured more of the same dominance that the Panthers displayed in set one. The third set was a bit closer as Head Coach Drew Colvin rotated many of his reserve players in to get some much needed game experience. All in all, everyone on the active roster entered the game. 11 out of the 15 players recorded at least one point.

Rita Gonzalez Cueavas Campos and Nina Vallesi made their home Panther debuts. Each player recorded 4 kills, which tied for 3rd on the team.

Dena Otte led the team with 11 kills.

Natalie Faulkner led the club with 19 assists. Kyla Coffey rotated in with Faulkner and recorded 10 assists.

Darlenis Medina once again led the club in DIGS with 17.

Panthers are back at it tomorrow for two games. The first being a matchup against Pasco-Hernando State College, an opponent the Panthers have yet to face this season. That game begins at 11:00 AM. The day will conclude with a matchup against last year's conference champion Gulf Coast State College at 3:00 PM.
