Volleyball Posts Dominant Victory Over Eastern Florida

Volleyball nearly pulls off a 3-0 sweep; dominates Eastern Florida on the road.

After going up two sets to zero, The Panthers nearly pulled off a win in three straight sets before ultimately falling in the third set 29-27. That lit a fire under the club as the team completely dominated the 4th set 25-16 to clinch the match victory, 3-1.

Madison Barton had a statistically dominant game, leading the team with 26.5 points, 23 kills, 25 DIGS, and 4 total blocks. Barton led the Panthers offensively, defensively, and in blocking. Barton has 164 kills on the season, which places her 2nd in the state in that category. She trails Daytona State's Derionah Abners by only 3 kills.

Lucy Kraljevic finished a close second with 18.5 points, 16 kills, and 11 DIGS. Kelsie Walker finished 11 points, finishing third on the team.

Laura Fiabane, a freshman setter from Italy, continued her torrid assists pace, as she finished with 58 total assists. This is the first time Fiabane eclipsed 50 sets in one game this season, but previously eclipsed 40+ assists in 4 other games.

The Panthers travel back home on Thursday to take on Indian River at 6:00 pm.
