Thornton Named 3rd Team All-American

For the 3rd year in a row, Palm Beach State College's Women's Basketball team has had a student-athlete named as an All-American.  Ashley Thornton, who goes by the nickname "Micro," was named an NJCAA Division II 3rd Team All-American.  Micro, who is also a 4.0 student who has already earned her AA degree, finished the year averaging 13.4 points and 4.6 assists per game.  She started 27 games in leading the team to a 24-6 record, a Region 8 Championship and a Gulf South District Runner-up.  She finished the year ranked 26th in the nation in FT% (79.8%) and 34th in assists (128). 

In her two years as a Lady Panther, Micro scored 645 points (11.7/game) and 256 assists, while shooting 75% from the foul line.
