Women's Basketball Ranked #13 In Latest NJCAA Poll

The Lady Panthers have continued their streak of being ranked, as they now have been ranked in the last nine polls, and have been slowly climbing each time.  In the latest NJCAA Division II poll, the Lady Panthers are ranked 13th in the nation.  Since first entering the rankings in week 2 back in November 20, 2023, when they were ranked 19th, the Lady Panthers have stayed in the national spotlight. 

As of February 6th, the Lady Panthers rank in the top 10 in all NJCAA Division II teams in a couple categories.  They rank 7th in FT % at 71.4% and are 2nd in the nation in blocks at 8.4 blocks/game.

Keri Cooper leads the nation in blocks having 131 as of February 6th.  Ashley Thornton is 12th in assists with 111.  Taylor Blackshear is 3rd in the nation in steals with 100 and is 25th in assists with 95.

The Lady Panthers host Florida State College of Jacksonville on February 10th.  A win versus them, either on February 10th or February 24th and they clinch the Region 8 championship and book their place in the Gulf South District Championship game
