Palm Beach Falls to Eastern Florida, 7-3

Lake Worth, FL -- Panthers Baseball drops the 2nd game of the 3-game series against Eastern Florida, 7-3.

The team got out to a promising start, scoring 3 runs in the top of the 2nd to take a 3-0 lead. Andrew Martinez doubled to right field to take a 1-0 lead. Tal Erel hit the 2nd double of the inning to drive home the game's 2nd run. An RBI groundout by Jisjar Clotida extended the lead, 3-0.

However, the Panthers failed to score in any other inning except for the 2nd. 

With the game 3-2 in the bottom of the 5th, Eastern Florida batter Alvaro Valdez launched a 2-run home run to right field to put Eastern on top for the first time in the game. They would not look back.

The Panthers has two chances with the bases loaded in the top of the 7th, but failed to score the runner from third. David Munoz was forced out at home trying to score the team's 4th run of the game, Jefrey Encarnacion grounded out to first to end the threat.

The Panther bats would go 1-2-3 the next two innings to end the game.

Michael Demo took the loss for Palm Beach. He allowed 2 earned runs over 2 innings pitched. All Panther pitchers allowed at least 1 run.


Eastern Florida will travel to Palm Beach on Monday at 3:00 p.m. to end the series. As always, admission is free.
