Lake Worth, FL -- Palm Beach Baseball put on an impressive offensive display in an 11-9 victory over Indian River.

Because of injuries, Freshman pitcher Alex Dominguez was called on to play shortshop for the first time in years. He acquitted himself well. Dominguez collected 2 hits, including a 2-RBI double in his first collegiate at bat. Dominguez handled himself equally in the field, turning a double play, and showing off his great arm on several nice throws to 1st base.

Ricky Neyman collected 4 hits, scored 3 runs, and drove in 3.

Dominguez squeaked a double down the 1st base line, just past the outstretched first baseman, driving home 2 Panthers.

With a score of 3-1, Indian River would bounce right back. A double and an error put 2 runners on for Josh Shoruder, the reigning FCSAA Player of the Week. Shrouder smoked a line drive into center to cut the Panther lead to 3-2. The next batter, RJ Diaz, grounded into a fielder's choice at 2nd, but the runner scored from 3rd to tie the game at 3.

Tom Green came on in relief of Roberts and retired the 1st two men he faced to end the threat.

During the next at bat, runners advanced on a wild pitch and then Levi Aguila scored on a throwing error by catcher David Munoz -- the score was 8-5.
