Panthers Swept by Broward

Lake Worth, FL -- Panther Baseball is swept by Broward by dropping the final game of the series, 7-2.

After a game in which the Panthers walked 10, today they only walked 3. Although, 6 errors certainly did them in today.

With the game scoreless until the bottom of the 4th, the first batter of the inning, Andrew Fernandez, homered to put Broward on top 1-0. After a groundout, a walk by Michael Demo put a runner on for Nico Montes who doubled to left field put the Seahawks on top 2-0.

An error allowed Andrew Fernandez to single home Jack Khawly to put Broward op 3-0. With two runners on in the inning, and James Meyers on in relief, Tommy Diaz doubled home both runners to extend the lead to 5-0.

The Panthers and Seahawks traded runs in the 7th. Danny Trillo scored on a sacrifice fly in the 8th to put Broward on top 7-1.

The final run of the game came on the last play of the game as Jisjar Clotida singled home Ricky Neyman, but was thrown out trying to reach 2nd base.

Michael Demo allowed 5 runs over 4.2 innings, but only 2 runs were earned. Yordy Cabrera allowed 2 runs in 2.1 innings in relief. James Meyers pitched 1 scoreless inning of relief.
