Panthers Fall to Eastern Florida 8-3

Palm Beach Baseball falls to Eastern Florida, 8-3.

The Panthers' bats were mostly silent against Eastern Florida starter Pablo Barquero-Jackson. Jackson allowed 7 hits and 2 runs, with both of those runs coming in the 7th inning.

Eastern Florida got on the board early, scoring 4 runs in the 1st inning. Palm Beach Starter, Tom Green, allowed hits to the first 3 batters he saw. The first five batters against reached base via hit or walk. However, Green would settle down, putting up zeroes in the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th innings.

In the 6th, Green recorded the first 2 outs before allowing the next 3 batters to reach. Yordy Cabrera would come on in relief and allowed 2 inherited runners to score. The score was 8-0.

Mason Doolittle put the Panthers on the board in the 7th with a solo Home Run -- his 3rd. A Ray Sanchez walk and a Nick Tiano bloop single put a runner in scoring position for Gabriel Marinez. Marinez would single home Sanchez to cut the lead to 8-2.

In the 8th, a Noah Orlando single and a Ray Sanchez walk set the stage for pinch-hitter Andrew Martinez. Martinez would single to left field to plate the Panthers' last run of the afternoon.
