Beach Volleyball Named National Runners-Up

SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA – The Richard Bland College beach volleyball closes the season at 25-13 overall after traveling to Huntsville, Alabama for the NJCAA National Championship over the weekend.

 

In the NJCAA Quarterfinals, the Statesmen defeated the Flyers of Sandhills Community College 4-0.

Pair 1: Sarah Heath and Jordan Schlageter defeated the Flyers 21-8 and 21-8.

Pair 2: Leilani Goggin and Alexis Scipione defeated the Flyers 21-14 and 21-6.

Pair 3: Morgan Green and Kiley Pickett defeated the Flyers 21-13 and 21-12.

Pair 4: Aubrey Hyndshaw and Addison White did not finish due to decision win.

Pair 5: Phoebe Heath and Peyton Ostenson defeated the Flyers 21-5 and 21-14.

 

In the NJCAA Semifinals, the Statesmen defeated the Manatees of State College of Florida 4-1.

Pair 1: Sarah Heath and Jordan Schlageter fell to the Manatees 11-21 and 19-21.

Pair 2: Leilani Goggin and Alexis Scipione defeated the Manatees 16-21, 21-13, and 15-12.

Pair 3: Morgan Green and Kiley Pickett defeated the Manatees 21-13, 16-21, and 15-11.

Pair 4: Addison White and Aubrey Hyndshaw defeated the Manatees 21-10 and 22-20.

Pair 5: Phoebe Heath and Peyton Ostenson defeated the Manatees 21-14 and 21-14.

 

In the NJCAA National Championship, the Statesmen fell to the Panthers of Palm Beach State College.

Pair 1: Sarah Heath and Jordan Schlageter fell to the Panthers 15-21 and 11-21.

Pair 2: Leilani Goggin and Alexis Scipione fell to the Panthers 25-23, 16-21, and 11-15.

Pair 3: Morgan Green and Kiley Pickett fell to the Panthers 8-21 and 17-21.

Pair 4: Addison White and Aubrey Hyndshaw did not finish due to decision win.

Pair 5: Phoebe Heath and Peyton Ostenson did not finish due to decision win.
