Beach Birds enter Day Two of pool play as the No. 4 seed

Mesa Beach Volleyball starts their second day of Pool Play on Friday as they take on No. 8 Trinidad State College and No. 3 State College of Florida.

The Lady T-Birds have claimed the No. 4 seed after going 1-1 in Day One of Pool Play. MCC dominated their match against No. 7 Gaston College winning 4-1. Pairings 2, 4, & 5 came out on top in two sets while Mesa's top pair won in three.

Mesa had trouble with the top ranked defending national champion Palm Beach State who took down the T-Birds 5-0. MCC's top pair was able to force a third set but fell 15-7. The rest of the T-Birds pairings fell in two sets.

No. 4 Mesa will take on No. 8 Trinidad State College at 12:00 p.m. local time. The T-Birds have played Trojans four times this season coming away victorious in all of their matches so far, Trinidad State went 0-2 in pool play yesterday. At 2:30 p.m. local time Mesa will take on No. 3 State College of Florida. The Manatee's went 2-0 in pool play yesterday.
